The Search for The Foundists Artefacts and field notes
In 2014, artist Laura Copsey undertook an expedition funded by George Musgrave (The Musgrave Collection, Eastbourne) to find evidence of the Foundist’s work in Newfoundland.
The artefacts have established provenance, attributed to The Foundist’s legacy. The objects have since been sold at Christies, London for £1.8million which almost covered costs of Laura’s postgraduate art education.
