Creative Therapeutic Mentoring
I’m an artist / musician / occupational therapist / arts educator / tarot reader
Over the past 18 years my combination of skills and experience has become a ‘pick n mix’ tool kit that informs my philosophy, to what I have come to call ‘creative therapeutic mentoring.’
As a creative therapeutic mentor, I support people to develop their creative practice and adopt a critical but kind, reflective but practical mindset that is personalised to the maker, their situation, their wellbeing, and goals. I hope to support curiosity and creative fulfilment, to figure out sustainable careers and foster resilience through life changes. I’m able to create unique and holistic opportunities for creative people, who for whatever reason land here and are currently reading this (hi!)
What can Creative Therapeutic Mentoring support with?
Feedback on creative work including creative brainstorming, research processes, idea development, portfolio review and studio visits.
Occupational therapy approaches to maximising participation in your creative practice following changes to your health or wellbeing. This could involve trying new things, finding new meaning, practical approaches to adapting your methods or process, managing anxiety, practical support for neurodiversity, goal setting including rehab and other psycho-dynamic approaches as appropriate.
The use of tarot and dream symbolism for creative guidance.
Bespoke creative tasks and/or project briefs (with educational focus) providing resources, feedback, support and accountability.

How it works:
Creative Therapeutic Mentoring begins with a review of your work, consideration of your needs and goals – this takes the form of one hour session in person or online.
From here, together we make a plan:
Options:
We design a package of 6 sessions to provide support, resources, feedback and accountability to work towards you goals.
Or
Sessions can be ad hoc, requested by you, for a particular issue you bring to reflect on.
How to organise:
Email me laura.copsey@gmail.com with the following information:
- Name
- Where are you based?
- Brief description of your creative work / what you do
- What brings you here? Briefly describe your situation
- Try to list 3 things that you want to focus on
- Links to your work: eg. website / social media
Fees:
£50 p/h
Initial review / collaborative goal planning: this can include Tarot if requested.
Follow up sessions.
Please note if we are meeting in person or studio visit, travel time beyond a 30min radius from where I am (usually Walthamstow!) is chargeable.
